Many electric boxes have been seen left open in and around various areas of Ermelo.
The Highvelder became aware of the open power boxes after running an article on the Highvelder website on 20 April titled: “Brandende kragboks op Ermelo nie ’n ongewone gesig nie.”
Enquiries were e-mailed to Mr Mandla Zwane, spokesman for the Msukaligwa Municipality.
Mr Zwane, said: “The repairs of the electric boxes began in April and the municipality continues to repair electric boxes.
“There are repairs currently taking place and in April a total of 33 electric boxes were attended to.”
