Wards in Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality allocated R250 000 each to address urgent service delivery issues

Councillor Nkosi also tabled a R863-million budget in line with the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) for the 2019/2020 financial year.

All the 25 municipal wards in the Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality (CALM) have been allocated R250 000 each to address pressing and urgent service delivery issues.

The Executive Mayor, Councillor Dan Nkosi, made the allocation during the State of the Municipal Address (SOMA) at the far flung rural village of Steynsdorp on Tuesday, 28 May.

Councillor Nkosi also tabled a R863-million budget in line with the Integrated Development Plan (IDP) for the 2019/2020 financial year.

The Budget, dubbed the ‘People’s Budget’, saw an increase of R273-million from the 2018/2019 financial year.
