More than dozen injured when taxi and Polo collide at Evander

EVANDER – A taxi with 15 occupants and a VW Polo collided at the Evander Auckland Road turn off from the R546 between eMbalenhle and Kinross tonight, 23 June.

The taxi that was travelling from Kinross, overturned on impact.

Langamed South ambulances transported the 15 injured to hospital.

According to Mr Alf Byleveldt from Jelani Security the driver of the Polo ran away from the accident scene.

The firebrigade and Evander police were also on the scene.
