The Paw Shop is soon to open at the Highveld Ridge SPCA

The charity shop began last year as residents donated their pesky little dust collectors and white elephants to the SPCA to be resold cheaply

EVANDER – From glassware and crockery to books and clothes – you will find all of this and more at the Highveld Ridge SPCA’s charity shop.

This initiative flourished to the extent that the SPCA is moving the shop out of their offices and into a newly donated Wendy house.

The new venture is named The Paw Shop and will be up and running as soon as the cabin is fitted with the necessary display cabinets and trimmings.

The charity shop began last year as residents donated their pesky little dust collectors and white elephants to the SPCA to be resold cheaply.

The donations and shoppers have since increased.

“We are excited by the new look and being able to give shoppers more space to browse through all the bargains,” said Ms Chanelle Oosthuizen, a committee member.

The volunteers at the SPCA are running the shop and all money collected is used for the up-keep of the animal shelter.

The volunteers Ms Thandi Dlamini with Shadow, Ms Grace Dlamini and Mr Jabu Mathebula are excited about the SPCA’s new building for the charity shop.
