The raw water pumping units at the Standerton Water Treatment Plant, have developed a fault and because they are unable to abstract adequate raw water for purification.
Lekwa Municipality issued a notice about water supply interruptions in Ward 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 15.
Further, the community is urged to use water sparingly while the municipality is resolving the challenge.
The municipality plans to restore normal water supply within the next 48-72 hours.
