SECUNDA – The Sasol Multi Stakeholder Engagement Session has collapsed.
The meeting was aimed at introducing an organisation that was suppose to facilitate mediation between Sasol and business forums and other forums.
The stakeholders said they do not want anything to do with the mediation.
They also told Ms Thandi Ngxonono, executive mayor, and Mr Felani Mndebele, municipal manager, to leave the meeting and attend to service delivery issues.
The stakeholders agreed to embark on a mass march against Sasol on Monday, 19 August.
They said if Sasol doesn’t meet their demands, they will stop the annual shutdown.
The forum members are now picketing outside Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club.
