National arm wrestling battle took part in Secunda

Many supporters came to motivate team their members.

SECUNDA – Prost restaurant hosted a successful South African Arm Wrestling Federation (SAAWF) event on Saturday, 28 September.
Arm wrestlers warmed up to qualify for the SAAWF National rankings.
Women and men competed in different classes using their right and left arm.
Many supporters came to motivate team their members.
Athletes did not only flex their muscles, but also used many different techniques to overpower their opponents.
Lornél Venter won the women’s open left with Liandi Koorsen second and Zanlé Nel third.
In the women’s open right, Liandi Koorsen came back with a bang and won, Nikitha van Vuuren took second and Zanlé Nel came third.
The men’s 75kg left category was won by Stefan Griesel, with Raymond Koen second and JC Pretorius third.
Raymond Koen won the mens 75kg right, JC Pretorius moved up to second place and Daneel Chappies took third place.
Koen showed he was the king, by winning the men’s 95kg left and right classes.
Ludwig Schnettler pushed for second place in the men’s 95kg left and right, while Stefan Griesel took the third place for the left and James Kruger for the right.
In the men’s 110kg, left and right was dominated by Johan Scholtz, while Cornell Swanepoel took second place in the left and right classes.
Nico Janse van Rensburg made sure he took third place with left and Raymond Koen with the right.
Men’s +110kg left and right were both won by Hanco Nel, second place right and left went to Reihardt Swanepoel and third right and left to Ruan Koorsen.
