No construction work in sight for new mall in Standerton

“Committees from both the Gert Sibande Municipality and the Lekwa Municipality will iron out the logistics,” Ms Thobeka Mtshiselwa, communications manager of the municipality, then said.

The area demarcated for the mall in Walter Sisulu Drive, Standerton shows no sign of any activity.

The council of the Lekwa Municipality had approved its building in August last year and the Standerton Advertiser published more information on it in its edition of 14 June.

“Committees from both the Gert Sibande Municipality and the Lekwa Municipality will iron out the logistics,” Ms Thobeka Mtshiselwa, communications manager of the municipality, then said.

The newspaper sent a WhatsApp-message to Ms Mtshiselwa on Friday, 11 October to enquire about any developments.

Ms Mtshiselwa promptly replied that no update is available.
