BETHAL – Residents around Stasieweg and nearby areas have been without electricity since about 1am Wednesday, 13 November.
Ms Mariaan Chamberlain, DA councillor said: “Please take note: the electrical team (of Govan Mbeki Municipality) is aware of the situation around Stasieweg, Krieket avenue and some other areas in town.
“There was a cable stolen, as well as a cable fault that cannot be detected, as the faultfinding machine was damaged and had to be sent away for repairs.
“The service provider would not release the item before any payment.
“I have spoken to the MM and payment was approved,” concluded Ms Chamberlain.
