SECUNDA – Residents and volunteers of Ward 30 recently cleaned up the rubbish that had been illegally dumped in Kuschke Street.

According to Mr Tim Denny, DA Councillor, they had also cleaned up this area earlier this year.

He said part of the problem is the municipality’s failure to regularly remove the refuse.

He urged residents not to dump their refuse but rather take it to the dumping site whenever the municipality do not remove the refuse according to their schedule.

The Ridge Times asked Messrs Benzi Soko, Donald Green and Lucky Mhlongo of Govan Mbeki Municipality’s communications department for comment.

They however failed to reply to e-mails and WhatsApp messages.
