Update on planned outage in Ward 25 Secunda
Electricity will be off until about 11am today in the area around ring-feed substation 4.
Scheduled work to change the oil in the substation, only began at 5am this morning, 22 November.
The municipality warned residents yesterday about the planned outage around RSB 4 and RSB 5 during the night, but by morning, the process was not yet implemented at RSB 4.
DA councillor, Ms Mariaan Chamberlain, estimates that the power in this area between Solly’s and Highveld Park High School will be restored by 11am.

SECUNDA – Residents in Ward 25 will be without electricity from 11pm tonight, 21 November, until about Just a heads up for tomorrow night.
The ring-feed substations 4 and 5 that were upgraded last week, need to have an oil change.
To prevent residents going without electricity again, the electrical team of the Govan Mbeki Municipality will do the oil change tonight as from 11pm.
This process will be done by about 6am.
Residents are cautioned to make the necessary provision and to be prepared for an outage.
The neighbourhoods that will be affected by the work on ringsub 4, are those around Solly’s, Buhrman Street, Hodgson Street, Pfeffer Street and Delagoa Street. Ringsub 5 is behind Laerskool Goedehoop and the areas around Stanford and Animo Streets.
