No answers for the power outages in eMba
Locals have been experiencing constant power outages and some areas are without electricity daily for hours on end.
eMBALENHLE – Even the MMC for energy services in the Govan Mbeki Municipality, Mr Dan Nhlapho, cannot provide answers about the unbearable power outages in eMbalenhle.
Locals have been experiencing constant power outages and some areas are without electricity daily for hours on end.
When asked about the power crisis in eMbalenhle, Mr Nhlapho referred the newspaper to the communication unit even though he is a political head of the energy sector.
“I cannot comment – just contact the communication unit,” he said.
“We have a protocol here, speak to Benzi.”
The newspaper contacted Mr Benzi Soko; head of communications, but without success
Ms Thandi Ngxonono, executive mayor, was also contacted regarding the matter.
“I am currently in a meeting. We are wrapping up.
“I will attend to the matter,” she said today, 20 April.
