UPDATE: Water supply to Standerton continuously monitored

Water tankers will be dispatched to affected areas. The municipality apologised for any inconvenience the situation might cause.

5pm: Water supply to some areas has been restored.

The communications department of the Lekwa Municipality said that repairs to the pipe were completed today, 27 April at 3pm. They added that the situation will be monitored. According to them, two of the three pumps are in operation.

 

District Municipality will help Lekwa to repair pipe in Standerton

The communications department of the Lekwa Municipality informed the community this morning, 27 April that the 450mm pipe burst again at 2am.

The Gert Sibande District Municipality has offered assistance with the repairs.
