R35 Road in Morgenzon sports a yield sign after a number of accidents
“However, I don't think this is a permanent solution, we need speed humps on that road,” - Mr Muso Kubheka
Mr Muso Kubheka, DA-councillor in Morgenzon, sent photos to the Standerton Advertiser today, 6 May of the warning sign at the sharp curve on the R35.
According to information, the provincial government intervened after several collisions.
The Mkhwanazi-family, who lives nearby, has been privy to several collisions in the past. An accident occurred on 22 April this year, resulting in the death of a motorist. Dating back to 2017, a sedan crashed into the yard of the Mkhwanazis and on 16 May last year, a truck smashed into their house.
“However, I don’t think this is a permanent solution, we need speed humps on that road,” Mr Kubheka concluded.
