Lekwa Municipality recently embarked on checking why certain areas in Sakhile have a low electricity supply and discovered several households with bridged meters.
According to information, electricians were trying to restore power in Makgahlela Street, without success.
After inspection of meters in the street, they found that most of the houses had bridged meters and disconnected power supply, as per council’s resolution.
The municipality encouraged residents to report those who bridge meters and refrain from the said activity.
