KINROSS – Cops from the Secunda flying squad arrested two people for illegally transporting liquor last night, 27 July.
The drivers of two vehicles stacked with liquor were taken into custody after the flying squad pulled them off the R547 near Kinross at about 7pm.
The booze was apparently destined for Kriel.

The drivers, who are related, had received a stern warning earlier in Evander, but told the police they were merely moving the alcohol to another storeroom in town.
When the same cops spotted the vehicles near Kinross, they pulled them over.
Under the Covid-19 Lockdown Disaster Management Act, regulations 44 (1) transporting (distribution) of liquor is illegal.
The vehicles and liquor valued at about R100 000 were confiscated.
