Lekwa Ratepayers Association has served the municipality with three letters about the electricity crisis.
According to their most recent Facebook-post, the application will be finalised on Monday, 27 July, with the hope to have a verdict by the end of August.
Lekwa Ratepayers has applied for a re-interdict to get the electricity back on as soon as possible.
“We are hoping for the best possible outcome as our municipality has let us down in this regard and business is suffering,” the post read. Ratepayers also thanked everybody for their contributions.
According to the association, more than 70 affidavits from business owners and individuals were collected, which far exceeded their expectation and need.
They added that their first and foremost priority remains electricity as so many other factors hinge on this crisis.
