Trichardt residents are still without electricity

DA Councillors, Ms Ciska Jordaan and Ms Mariaan Chamberlain informed residents on social media of the electricity problems in Trichardt.

Residents of Trichardt were left in the dark again since 1am this morning.

This comes after a cable fault was detected on the corner of Grey and Van Schalkwyk Street.

DA Councillors, Ms Ciska Jordaan and Ms Mariaan Chamberlain informed residents on social media of the electricity problems in Trichardt.

Ms Chamberlain said the electricians of Govan Mbeki Municipality replaced a cable last Saturday (25 July) near Stoepstories after a cable was stolen and there was a cable fault which they repaired.

In this week the electricity was off again for one day and the electricians picked up a fault at the ring feed and fixed it.

The electricians are working on the problem and trying to find the fault and they suspect it is the ring feed again.

Ms Chamberlain said residents who are affected are those living in the area between Grey Street and Van Schalkwyk Street.
