SECUNDA – A woman was hijacked in front of her home in Oranjerivier Street early this morning, 4 August.
According to the police, the victim came home after a night shift and had just stopped at the gate when a man in the street pulled a gun out.
The hijacker sped off in the woman’s brand new white Toyota Quest, with registration number KBT 461 MP.
The car was last seen heading towards Gauteng.
Messages of other women who were also allegedly held at gunpoint by a tall, skinny man this morning soon circulated on social media.
This was the second hijacking reported in Secunda within two days.
A man was dragged from his Ford Bantam bakkie at traffic lights at 4.30am on Sunday, 2 August.
The police warned motorists to be extra cautious and vigilant, especially when they are about to leave their home for work or on their return.
If you see someone in the street when you are about to pull into your driveway, rather drive on and around the bock until the coast is clear.
