Water supply in Standerton affected by lengthy power outage

The replacement is expected from Johannesburg at 7pm this evening.

Lekwa Ratepayers Association issued a statement a few minutes ago, saying their technical team tried their utmost to help the Lekwa Municipality today.

According to them, a 90KW motor installed in the sump pump at the water treatment plant flooded and was not operational.

The water supply to the Concor-reservoir which primarily supplies water to most areas around Kosmospark and Florapark, are affected.

No time-frame for installation could be given.

Ratepayers thanked Mr Coert Henrico who made himself available to help.
