UPDATE – 6 August – Water truck is parked in Impala Street from 12.45pm today
Goldi in Standerton has made a truck available to supply clean water to the communities of Kosmospark and Florapark.
Empty containers can be filled.
Hoërskool Standerton has undertaken to help with 600-litres from their tanks. People are needed to transport it to Impala Street.
Water interruptions in several wards in Lekwa municipal area
The communications department of the Lekwa Municipality issued a notice about water interruptions in Standerton.
Wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11 and parts of Wards 10 and 15 are not receiving water due to mechanical problems at the treatment works.
The municipality is working on resolving the problem and apologised for the inconvenience.
