Robbers use the same modus operandi at two incidents in Standerton

According to Mr Jannie Kasselman of Kasselman Security Services (KSS), the same modus operandi was used.

Thieves targeted two retailers in the Junxion Centre in Standerton on Thursday, 6 August, fleeing with the same kind of articles.

According to Mr Jannie Kasselman of Kasselman Security Services (KSS), the same modus operandi was used.

In the first incident, a grinder was used to cut the safes open after entry was gained through the roof.

Goods such as cell phones, display phones, bags and polar fleece fabrics are among the stolen items.

According to KSS, the manager informed them that all the wires were pulled out of the alarm system.

Cash to the amount of R35 000 was also taken.

According to KSS, the manager will check on anymore missing items after the Standerton Police have completed their investigation.

Entry was gained in the second incident through the roof as well.

Another similarity is the method to open the safe.

The premises were left through the back door, with only the safety door’s locks cut open.

The door was closed afterwards and three bricks were put against the door.

Equipment was left at the scene.

Goods such as 429 cell phones, memory cards, safety shoes and two suitcases are among the stolen items.

The retail shop will only do stocktaking after the Standerton Police have completed their investigation.
