Electricity was not restored after load shedding last night in Extension 22, 23 and Sunsetpark areas.
Ms Mariaan Chamberlain, DA councillor, reacted to messages on social media about the municipal workers being incompetent and non-compliant and said there is a cable fault between main-sub 2 and ring-sub 10 in Extension 22.
“The fault was located under the dam wall next to Sasol Junxion and excavations are not an option as it is too deep and the walls might cave in,” said Ms Chamberlain.
According to her the only solution is to reroute a 400m cable, but this specific cable is not in stock at the moment.
