eMBALENHLE – Mr Willem Kgomo, local businessman, has raised concerns over the circulating rumours in various social media platforms and in other news outlets which described him as a tender corruption king.
The rumours are that he is implicated in the Section 106 Forensic Investigation report.
In a press statement, Mr Kgomo said he has noted with concerned that there are people who are acting with jealousy, and malicious intent and who are willing to jeopardise his reputation and will stop at nothing to see his name and company destroyed.
He said these faceless people took it upon themselves to go to media houses to publish a story that is false and does not have the authentic proof on false claims.
“I and my legal team have read the Govan Mbeki Municipality Section 106 investigation report that is circulating on social media released by the provincial government and find no mentioned of me or my company, El Gondor Trading, having done anything wrong.
“These allegations against me on social media are false and unfounded, made with the sole aim of destroying my company and cause panic to my client and colleagues.”
Mr Kgomo said he has appointed private investigators to conduct a detailed investigation to find the person behind the publication of these false stories or any person involved that confirmed to have such accusation published without verifying its authenticity.
He has assured all his business partners, clients and employees that there is no truth to any of the accusation put out there.
“People must stop interfering into my private life, I have work hard to be where I am.
“No one can take away from me what God has given me.”
