UPDATE: ACSU recovers vehicle involved in Foschini robbery in Ermelo

According to Ms Magda Venter, Oak Centre Manager, the suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of money as well a cell phones.

UPDATE: 10.19am – 28 November

The fast reaction of ACSU ensured that the vehicle involved in an armed robbery this morning at Foschini at the Oak Centre in Ermelo, was recovered.

Reaction officers of ACSU recovered the vehicle in Thusivillage.

The suspects abandoned the vehicle upon noticing ACSU.

According to Mr Paul Bester Koen, a reaction officer at ACSU Security, they managed to identify one of the suspects and alleged that he might have been involved in the robbery at MTN earlier this week.

Police have arrived on the scene as well and thanked ACSU for their good work and swift response.

According to Ms Magda Venter, Oak Centre Manager, the suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of money as well a cell phones.

Mr Paul Bester Koen, a reaction officer at ACSU Security, said the vehicle used in the robbery has different plates on the front and back which is indicative of the fact that they are falsified.

Police are currently on the scene as well, interviewing and taking statements from staff.

It is not clear at this stage how much money was stolen nor how much phones were taken.
