Six suspects, aged between 26 and 52, appeared in Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on 11 January in connection with stock theft and the possession of stolen goods.
They were arrested after Davel Police received information about stolen sheep at Braakfontein.
According to Sgt Portia Dhladhla, spokesman of Davel Police, officers swiftly reacted on the information and arrested three suspects for stock theft.
“Another three suspects were arrested for buying the stolen sheep.”
A total of five slaughtered sheep were recovered.
