Farm workers discovered the remains of a decomposed body on a farm next to the R547 on Tuesday, 26 January.
Evander Police, Secunda K9 unit and Delta 1 Rescue Diving attended the scene.
The body of the unknown man was recovered by the pathology services and taken to the local mortuary.
The circumstances surrounding the death is still unknown.
It is also unsure as to how long the body had been laying there due to the bad decomposition.
No visible injuries were found on the body.
No personal belongings or identification could be found.
The deceased was wearing black jeans, a red t-shirt and black shoes.
