Suspect appears in Carolina Magistrate’s Court in connection with residential burglary

“When he came back on 2 January he found that his house was broken into and his LG television and Acer laptop valued at R25 000 were stolen.”

Mr Mfanafuthi Sfiso Masina (29) appeared in the Carolina Magistrate’s Court on charges of burglary at a residence on 8 January.

Sergeant Thabang Mokwana, spokesman of Carolina Police, said: “According to the information received from Mr Ntokozo Siyanda Mahlangu (36), the complaint, left his home in Carolina to visit his family on 29 December.

“Upon his return on 2 January, he found that his house was broken into and his LG television and Acer laptop valued at R25 000 were stolen.”

Mr Mahlangu opened a case at the Carolina Police Station.

The police’s investigation led to the arrest of Mr Masina after police found him in possession of the alleged stolen goods.
