Indigent applications now open in Govan Mbeki municipal area

Due to Covid-19 regulations, all applicants will be required to collect the forms and complete them at home. All the information will be available when collecting forms.

HIGHVELD – The executive mayor of Govan Mbeki Municipality, Mr Nhlakanipho Zuma, urged the public to come forward for the indigent registration that is taking place until 26 February.

The indigent scheme is intended to assist pensioners, child-headed families, the unemployed and people who are earning a salary less than R3 760.

All residents who qualify, are encouraged to go to their nearest municipal offices and apply.

These offices are:
eMbalenhle municipal offices
eMzinoni/Bethal Town hall
Kinross town office
Evander / Secunda main office
Charl Cilliers Thusong Community Centre
Lebohang / Leslie Thusong Community Centre

These offices are open Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 4pm and on Saturday from 7.30am to noon.
