Mpumalanga Police Commissioner, Lieut-Genl Mondli Zuma, has called on police members to seek help if confronted with domestic challenges rather than trying to tackle depressing issues on their own.
He said such tragic incidents can be avoided if the affected parties seek professional help.
Genl Zuma said the police have an employee health and wellness section which specialises in the wellness of police members and it is paid by the state.
He urged members to effectively make use of the EHW, where they can be alleviated of any social pressure they might encounter.
