Dagga to the street value of R300 000 was confiscated and two suspects were apprehended on Saturday, 6 February.
The Crime Prevention Units of Standerton and Perdekop conducted the operation on the R23/Johannesburg Road.
According to W/O Nkosinathi Khanyile, communications officer of the Standerton Police, the vehicle was travelling from Swaziland to Gauteng.
“Two foreign nationals were arrested,” W/O Khanyile said.
Mr Paulamaza Malendo (35) and Mr Max Malolo (29) appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 8 February. According to the court’s records department, the suspects are still in custody.
