Lekwa will be doing routine maintenance on electrical meter connections in Wards 1 to 11, 13 and 15.
The communications department of the Lekwa Municipality issued a notice that their electrical teams will be replacing any faulty, non-functional, bridged and aged meters during the process with new meters.
The municipality requested residents to grant them access to premises/properties for a proper inspection since the meters are assets of the municipality.
If permission and/or access is not granted, the Municipal Systems Act 32 of 2000, section 101, will be contravened.
