Tempers flair at meeting about Bethal and eMzinoni electricity

Disgruntled businessmen and residents stated that nothing new is being brought to the table other than what has already been told.

A meeting held today, 28 April,  at the Bethal Town Hall, the councils from Gert Sibande District Municipality and Govan Mbeki Municipality introduced Enpower Machite, the service provider who will be taking over payment of GMM’s Eskom bill and the upgrading of infrastructure for the towns of Bethal and eMzinoni for a period of five years.

 

The meeting saw local businesses, residents and employees of both GMM and GSDM attend.

Disgruntled businessmen and residents state that nothing new is being brought to the table other than what is already known.

No clear answers were given on how the current electricity situation is going to change.
