UPDATE – Man dies after sustaining burn wounds from sulphuric acid

A case of attempted murder has thus now turned into police investigating a case of murder.

A man died in a hospital in Witbank after suffering severe injuries which he sustained from sulphuric acid burn wounds.

The Highvelder published an article ‘Man and woman allegedly pour sulphuric acid on each other during argument in Ermelo’.

They were both admitted to hospital for medical care.

A case of attempted murder has thus now turned into police investigating a case of murder.

Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesman of Ermelo Police, concluded the police are still busy with their investigation.
