A 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with rape on June 28.
It is alleged that he raped a 19-year-old woman on June 23.
Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesman of Ermelo Police, said the suspect regularly transported passengers from Ermelo to farms along the Amersfoort road.
She added, on the particular day he once again transported people including the victim.
“The suspect first dropped of three people at their destinations and then drove with the victim to an open field, where he allegedly raped her,” she concluded.
