Most Carolina shops found not to be adhering to Covid-19 protocols

“A lot of shops that were monitored, along with shoppers, no longer adhere to the protocols.”

CAROLINA – The Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality’s command council conducted an awareness campaign to prevent the spread of Covid-19 around town’s CBD on July 1.

Cllr Dan Nkosi, the executive mayor of the municipality and chairman of the command council, led the event with Mr Wonder Shabangu, the director of community safety services.

The event was aimed to monitor if the shops and residents are still complying with the Covid-19 health protocols.

“A lot of shops that were monitored, along with shoppers, no longer adhere to the protocols,” Mr Shabangu said.
