Kasselman Security Services (KSS) supplied information on their weekly crime reports. The week of June 4 to June 10 saw two incidents of theft and two burglaries in town.
Thieves were active on a farm and three businesses in town. Buccaneer Street in Kosmospark was also targeted and one theft incident took place, while Meyervile had one burglary and one theft incident, respectively in Strydom Street and De La Rey Street.
The following week from 11 to 17 June an increase in crime was noticeable. Altogether five incidents, all in town, of theft were reported and two of burglary.
Thieves were busy at several businesses and a guesthouse reported a burglary. Meyerville and Florapark each had one burglary in respectively Stefina Street and Kremetart Street.
While theft and burglaries were dominant in the week of 18 June to 24 June, a fraud case occurred as well. A total of three theft incidents occurred, one burglary and one attempted burglary.
Mid-town’s Kruger Street, Berg Street and Leyds Street were the targets. Two filling stations also saw criminal activity. Gazelle Street in Kosmospark saw a burglary. Break-ins at vehicles occurred in Kosmospark and Florapark.
Ventura Street and Krematart Street were chosen for the crimes. The theft incident happened on June 26 on a farm.
