Water flooding in yards can damage RDP-houses in Sakhile

A renewed effort was made on Thursday, July 15 and a reference number was obtained.

Water is flooding the yard of the RDP-house and two neighbours also have the same problem.

ccording to Ms Khoza, they have tried to contact the Lekwa Municipality countless times, to no avail.

A renewed effort was made on Thursday, July 15 and a reference number obtained.

“We have even tried to speak to the contractor, but he also refused to help,” Ms Khoza said.

“Our fear is the RDP-houses are going to crack and foundations will be damaged.”

The Standerton Advertiser contacted Ms Thobeka Mtshiselwa, communications manager of the Lekwa Municipality, on Thursday, July 15, enquiring whether assistance could be given.

Photos of the flooded yard were also sent via WhatsApp.
