ERMELO – Mr Barend Daniel Theodorus Boshoff (50) who was arrested in connection with attempted murder, has been released on bail of R1 000.
Highvelder reported ‘Police arrest motorist who almost ran children and residents over at Nomdeni, Ermelo’, on January 29.
The children and residents were playing soccer in a field on January 27 when the incident occurred.
It is not clear from the footage obtained what preceded Boshoff’s behaviour.
Boshoff made his first appearance in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on February 2.

Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesman for Ermelo police, said the police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
She concluded the case is still pending and the suspect is expected to appear in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on September 4.
