A man is critically injured after he was shot in the head this morning during an incident on the road between Kriel and Bethal.
According to Mr Jaap Pretorius, chairman of Bethal CPF, the occupants of two other vehicles opened fire on two vehicles from a courier service.
The shooters escaped in different directions after the man in one of the courier vehicles was shot in the head.
The one vehicle was seen heading towards Middelburg and the other escaped on a gravel road in the area.
The police could not yet confirm the incident and no further information was available.
