Sewage in yard of resident in Ext 6 in Standerton

A resident from Ext 6 is at her wit’s end about sewage flowing into her yard.

According to Ms Lindiwe Zimu, the Lekwa Municipality is failing to attend to the problem.

Ms Zimu visited the offices of the Standerton Advertiser the past week.

“I reported the matter last year in February,” she said.

The Standerton Advertiser contacted the communications manager of the municipality, Ms Thobeka Mtshiselwa, on Tuesday, August 17.

Photos were sent via WhatsApp, accompanied by the reference number.

Ms Mtshiselwa replied the same day that the complaint was sent through to the relevant department.
