Ermelo police arrest man in connection with murder and assault

“Upon arrival at the hospital, the family of the deceased informed the police that the deceased was stabbed earlier today during an altercation with another Nigerian citizen,” she said.

ERMELO – Chibueke Obi (40) was arrested on September 3 in connection with murder and assault.

According to Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesman for Ermelo police, members of the police were informed that a Nigerian man died in Ermelo Provincial Hospital around 15:00 on September 3.

He was stabbed in the right shoulder.

“Upon arrival at the hospital, the family of the deceased informed the police that the deceased was stabbed earlier during an altercation with another Nigerian citizen,” she said.

The family showed the police where the suspect stayed and he was arrested.
