Taxi boss gunned down at Kinross

Mr Fannie Khumalo (51) was  preparing his minibuses to transport commuters when four armed men shot him seven times in the chest.

A taxi boss was gunned down at his home in Thisle Grove,Kinross on Saturday morning, November 20.

According to police, Mr Fannie Khumalo (51) was  preparing his minibuses to transport commuters when four armed men shot him seven times in the chest.

He died on the spot.

Police said no one has yet been arrested. The reason behind shooting is still unknown.

Kinross police spokesperson, Sergeant Jacob Nagel, said people  with information about suspects in this shooting  incident can call Sgt Morris Shabalala on 073 044 9780.

A murder case was opened.

Vukanini taxi Association, where Mr Khumalo was a member, said they are shocked by the incident.

Mr Fanyana Sibanyoni,  association chairman, said they hope that police will soon arrest the suspects.
