Police arrest man in Standerton’s neighbouring town in connection with dealing in drugs

One man found on the premises was interviewed and he indicated that his brother had already left town.

A combined police task force apprehended a suspect (30) in Volksrust on Thursday, December 9 in connection with dealing in drugs.

He was due to appear in the Volksrust Magistrate’s Court on December 10.

Secunda Hawks` Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Crime Intelligence, Standerton Crime Intelligence, Standerton K9 and Secunda K9 conducted a search and seizure operation at a house in Volksrust at about 6:00, following information that there are drugs on the premises.

One man found on the premises was interviewed and he indicated that his brother had already left town.

According to police, the premises was thoroughly searched and 28 pieces of crack cocaine, hidden in the kitchen, were discovered

A bag containing 61 pinches of nyaope and another bag containing pure heroin were hidden, at different areas, throughout the premises.
