Police visit Chipa-Thabane in Refilwe

As part of the Safer School Programme initiative, the Police paid a visit to the Chipa-Thabane Comprehensive High School in Refilwe, Cullinan.

The Cullinan Police, in conjunction with Tshwane Metro Police, embarked on a visit to a local school in Refilwe, Cullinan.

As part of the Safer School Programme initiative, the police paid a visit to the Chipa-Thabane Comprehensive High School in Refilwe on Friday, February 25.

During the visit, members of the police conducted a search in classes and schoolbags for the presence of illegal substances.

The search yielded positive results when the police discovered small amounts of dagga, cigarettes as well as matchboxes.

The learners were, however, also sensitised with preventative tips against substance abuse and bullying.

“The principal, Selaki Masenya, was overwhelmed by the presence of police at Chipa-Thabane.

He expressed his appreciation towards the police’s good work and the smooth operation of the school safety programmes,” Sgt Connie Moganedi, Cullinan Police corporate communication officer, said.
