Bethal Fun Fest raises R133 000 for charity

Five beneficiaries were each given a cheque of R25 000 of the money that was raised on Wednesday, March 6.

An amount of R133 000 was raised during the Bethal Fun Fest that took place at the Bethal Golf Club on March 25 and 26.

The Bethal Fun Fest saw about 5 000 feet throughout the duration of the festival as well as 25 sponsors.

Five beneficiaries were each given a cheque of R25 000 of the money that was raised on Wednesday, March 6.

They were Residential Palm Oord, SAVF Silverjare, Bethal Feeding Scheme, Bethal SPCA and the Bethal CPF.

A 10 000 litre Eco Water Tank was donated to Bethal Golf Club to better the club for next year’s event.

Event organisers Marilé Nieuwoudt and Jaap Pretorius thanked sponsors and locals for all their support throughout the festival.

“Thank you for believing in the dream, vision, hope and opening your hearts to our charities,” said Nieuwoudt.
