14-year-old from Standerton drowns in pool of water
According to information, children from Ext 6, Standerton, went swimming in floodwater, next to the railway line.
A Grade 8 learner at Khula-Sakhile Secondary School drowned in a pool of water in the afternoon of Tuesday, April 12.

One child did not return home.
Kasselman Security Services (KSS) and police were on the scene.
They estimated the pool’s length to be about 20m and depth about 5m.
A council resolution was taken to possibly make use of a honeysucker to drain the pool, to bring the 14-year-old to the bank.
Captain Braam Robberts retrieved the body of Sechaba Sebeloane at about 20:15 on April 12.
