Motorcyclist succumbs to his injuries following crash in Secunda

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

A man was critically injured when he lost control of his motorbike and crashed in Nelson Mandela Drive in Secunda on Friday, April 22.

He later died in hospital.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on the accident scene at 23:08 pm, they found the man, believed to be in his 40s lying a short distance away from his motorcycle.

Several members of the community were providing the man first aid.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a significant head injury, leaving him in a critical condition.

The man was treated and provided with advanced life support before being transported to Mediclinic Highveld for urgent care.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
