Divers recover boy’s body from river in eMbalenhle

The child's identity was still unkown at time of going to print.

The body of a boy was found in the Welamlambo River at Gate 5, eMbalenhle today, May 3.

The child appears to be about 8 years old.

Community members saw the little boy’s body in the river and alerted the police.

Delta 1 Rescue Diving and the Mpumalanga Inland Water Police recovered the body.

ER24 ambulance services, the eMbalenhle Police and the municipal fire department assisted on the scene.

The boy’s identity was still unkown at time of going to print. The police are investigating the cause of death.
