Gizzelle Uys from Standerton readies herself for the big one
The date for the national pageant will probably be some time in August and the women in South Africa have been entering enthusiastically.
Gizzelle Uys has set her sights on the Miss South Africa 2022 crown.
This 24-year-old from Standerton has been collecting beauty titles since high school.
Hoërskool Standerton’s Miss SHS way back was followed by Miss Eco in September last year.
To top it all, the United Nations realised her potential in March this year, and gave her an award for outstanding community work.
Gizzelle has been active in the Free State, Mpumalanga and Gauteng with different projects emanating from the Miss Eco pageant.
Her views on what a beauty queen should be like, has not changed an inkling.
Communication abilities still hold first position.
She dropped in at the offices of the newspaper on Tuesday, March 26 before going home for a short visit with her mother and father.

“The competition is tough, as it should be for a pageant of this nature,” Gizzelle commented.
“South African girls are called a power house in the industry.”
She has not been sitting on her laurels and established her own company that sells beauty products.
This former graduate of the University of Pretoria has also something else in mind, such as Los Angeles, USA.
“Hollywood is definitely an avenue to consider,” Gizzelle concluded.
